You can either expect someone to earn trust (or never expect it at all), or assume it from the start. And yes, know that some will take advantage. Yet it is a human choice: you can lead with an attitude of love and trust. Or start and stay protected.
And I loved where he took this. The more you trust others, they more they trust you, the more you trust yourself, and the more you trust others. A loved based example of positive reinforcement.
