We grieve because we loved someone or something. That's a powerful framing. Thank you for sharing. It makes me wonder where there may be parts of myself that still could use some healthy grieving. Without it, we get stuck.

ah, yes. control. isn't funny how we can grieve something rooted in control, when we actually never have control. us humans are interesting...

that fact that we have grief is such a beautiful thing. it means we also have love. and as you will see in some future stories, what is stuck, might be the creation of something new and beautiful. it is not about discounting the lose. it's about recognizing what dawes sang in "when my time comes." "anyone that's making anything new only breaks something else." It is the circle of creation.

Thanks Jeremy, yes, grief a loss of anything, for me it can be the the things I have little control of.
